Bryant & Stratton College Goes Green With Free Bus Service, 4-Day Schedules

Syracuse, NY — With the rising cost of gasoline, and a rising concern for the environment, Bryant & Stratton College has launched a number of Green initiatives aimed at addressing both issues. The cornerstone of these initiatives is an agreement between the College and CENTRO, Central New York’s transit system, which allows Bryant & Stratton College students to travel to and from both Syracuse-area campuses free-of-charge.

According to Mike Sattler, Bryant & Stratton College’s Downtown Syracuse Campus Director, "We at Bryant & Stratton College are proud to partner with CENTRO to provide increased accessibility for students. Centro's Route 31 line (to the Great Northern Mall) is available from early in the morning until late in the evening. We hope our students take advantage of this free opportunity to further their education."

Free CENTRO bus service to and from both Bryant & Stratton College campuses takes effect immediately. Students who are enrolled for the fall semester just have to see their academic advisor for their free bus pass.

Bryant & Stratton College has implemented a number of other Green initiatives to reduce energy usage. The most significant are four-day, full-time schedules. Sattler explains, “Bryant & Stratton College students can now achieve full-time status by attending just four days a week. These schedules will have multiple benefits. First and foremost, students have the convenience of only coming to campus fours days a week. Secondly, the school’s electricity is virtually shut down to the classroom section of our building during the three day weekend, which greatly reduces our energy consumption.”

Students can enroll for Bryant & Stratton College’s fall semester until September 22nd. If you’d like more information, stop by one of their campuses today: Downtown at 953 James Street(315.472.6603), and in Liverpool at 8687 Carling Road (315.652.6500).
