The Central New York market now has a link between employers and job seekers: CNY Employment Guide.
Darlene Kerr | Fri, June 1st, 2007In the race for talent and capital, the most competitive regions will be those that position themselves as vibrant communities – places infused with creative energy, and active, engaged people working together.
Many Chamber members are becoming more and more familiar every day with a regional marketing effort designed to position our region in just that way. The initiative has the support and buy-in of business, academic, economic development and government leaders throughout the region. The goal of this branding initiative is to identify New York’s Creative Core – the 12 counties in NY’s central upstate region – as the place where it all comes together.
Real life. Real cities and towns. Real work. Real history. Real smart – with a population 20 percent above the national average when it comes to degree holders, with some of the world’s leading academic institutions, and a range of colleges and universities educating their students for success in the challenging 21st century world, Greater Syracuse is the heart of NY’s Creative Core.
The brand is simple, and at the same time, flexible enough to be used in a variety of external marketing efforts aimed at small business development, entrepreneurship and business attraction.
We are encouraging Chamber members and beyond to become a Creative Core Partner and use the marketing and messaging materials that have been developed by the Central Upstate Regional Alliance, through the Essential NY Initiative. These materials include background, brand development and positioning information and logo treatments. The Partner Agreement and other materials can be found at
www.creativecoreny.com.
Thanks for all you do.
