Wed, August 8th, 2007Rapid Response Monitoring, a national provider of wholesale electronic monitoring services, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, and has, since its incorporation, been based in Syracuse. Since relocating their national headquarters to a state-of-the-art facility in Syracuse’s historic Franklin Square, the company has been able to expand its involvement in the community and increase its support of other area businesses.
Rapid Response started the business in 1992 with a determination to stay within the community and give back to it. Since the new 40,000 square-foot facility became the company’s administrative headquarters, Rapid Response has been able to create over 100 new jobs, as well as support area vendors and locally based service providers for everything from food service to telecommunications. The employees, however, have most enjoyed what their home town location has to offer: Located near the newly revitalized Inner Harbor and proposed site of DestiNY USA, Rapid Response staff enjoy daily walks on the Creek Walk Trail, strolls in Franklin Square, and the company has hosted Employee Picnics two successive summers at Inner Harbor. The location has also proven a great success for the company’s involvement in activities that support Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, and The Ronald McDonald House. With an eye on its 20th Anniversary, Rapid Response and its employees are looking forward to having even deeper roots in the Syracuse community.
